EFEKTIVITAS EDUKASI KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN SISWA SMK KELAS X: STUDI PRE-TEST DAN POST-TEST

Abstract

Adolescent reproductive health is an important public health issue because it is directly related to young people's readiness to face puberty, prevent risky sexual behavior, and reduce rates of unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 2 are in early to middle adolescence, a period particularly vulnerable to inaccurate reproductive health information. This community service activity aimed to improve students' knowledge of reproductive health through health education and to measure its effectiveness using a pre-test and post-test design. The method used was health counseling delivered through interactive lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and presentation media, involving tenth-grade students from several class groups (Hospitality and Financial Accounting) at SMK Negeri 2. Student knowledge was measured using an online Google Form questionnaire completed before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the education session. The results showed that the average knowledge score increased from 98.25 on the pre-test to 99.22 on the post-test, with the proportion of students in the good knowledge category rising from 98.75% to 100%. The standard deviation of scores also decreased from 4.41 to 2.26, indicating that students' knowledge distribution became more homogeneous after the education session. These findings indicate that reproductive health education is effective in maintaining and improving the already relatively good knowledge of most students, while also helping students with lower initial knowledge reach the good category. This activity is expected to serve as a model for sustainable education in schools' health promotion and prevention efforts regarding adolescent reproductive health.
